History
The aceflux flag is a variant of the asexual pride flag designed to represent aceflux individuals—people whose sexual attraction fluctuates along the asexual spectrum. Unlike asexual individuals who experience consistent little to no sexual attraction, aceflux people experience varying levels of sexual attraction over time, sometimes experiencing brief periods of higher attraction while never identifying as fully allosexual. The flag adapts the established asexual color palette of purples, pinks, and reds, using a gradient arrangement to visually represent the spectrum and movement inherent to the aceflux experience. The design emerged within asexual community spaces as a way to provide more specific representation for those whose attraction patterns don't remain static. Like many micro-label pride flags within the larger LGBTQ+ community, the aceflux flag has gained recognition primarily through online LGBTQ+ communities and pride flag encyclopedias, serving as a tool for self-identification and visibility among those who experience fluid asexuality.
