History

This combined flag represents transgender people in Argentina, meaning Argentinians whose gender identity is different from the sex they were assigned at birth. It blends the light blue and white of the Argentine national flag with the pink, white, and blue of Monica Helms' 1999 transgender pride flag. The design grew out of Argentine LGBTQ+ communities who wanted to honor both their nationality and their gender identity in one symbol. The colors are light blue, white, light blue, pink, white, and blue.
