History
The Fat Fetish Pride Flag (proposed) is a community-authored pride flag representing adipophilia, the sexual attraction to fat bodies and fat people. Like many contemporary pride flags created after the widespread adoption of the rainbow flag in the 1970s, this design emerged from online communities and kink spaces seeking visible representation. The flag follows the tradition of horizontal striping common to modern pride vexillology, with five stripes in warm and cool tones. As a proposed design rather than an officially adopted standard, it represents one of hundreds of flags created by marginalized communities to express identity within the broader LGBTQ+ and kink communities. The flag's status as "proposed" reflects the decentralized nature of modern pride flag creation, where designs circulate through online forums, social media, and community spaces without formal gatekeeping or universal mandate.
